Kauri

Kauri is a percussive guitarist and singer-songwriter, and a Gamillaroi man living on Gumbaynggirr Country in Bellingen for the last 12 years.

A self-taught artist, Kauri has developed his own unique style of rhythmic curling finger tapping, using his guitar as a percussion instrument.

He started busking in 2012, travelling from Melbourne to Cairns playing everywhere between.

He has been performing gigs in a professional capacity since 2015.

Playing various festivals and venues on the East Coast. Kauri performed three of his original compositions for this episode of our MiNi (digital) Concerts.
